Iovera

Precision cold therapy that targets specific nerves, so pain signals quiet down without invasive surgery.

The challenge

Pain that does not respond to the usual fixes

Unrelenting pain in joints, muscles, or nerve pathways can steal sleep, work, and family time. When medication, hot/cold packs, or basic therapy are not enough, it is easy to feel stuck looking for something more precise.

The approach

Controlled cold that targets the nerve

Iovera uses measured cold (cryoneurolysis) to interrupt pain signals from specific nerves without damaging surrounding tissue. Sessions are relatively brief, and many people notice easier day-to-day movement afterward.

It can be a strong option when pain is localized or nerve-related and you want relief that is not built on long-term medication or invasive surgery. Performed with Paul Dickinson, CRNA.

How it works

Three steps to targeted relief

  1. Assessment & consultation

Talk through your pain history, prior treatments, and goals with Paul Dickinson, CRNA, or another member of our team.

  2. Targeted treatment plan

We map which nerves may be driving your pain and identify the best areas for treatment.

  3. Iovera procedure

In a comfortable clinic setting, controlled cold is applied to the planned nerve regions while we walk you through each step.

What is Iovera?

Iovera is a procedure that uses precise cold therapy to interrupt pain signals from specific nerves. By carefully applying controlled cold to targeted areas, it can reduce discomfort without surgery or long-term medication reliance, especially for chronic or localized pain that has not responded well to standard methods.

FAQ

Common questions

How long does pain relief from Iovera typically last?

Timelines vary. Some people notice benefits for several weeks or months. We discuss typical expectations and whether additional sessions may help.

Is Iovera appropriate for all types of pain?

Iovera targets specific nerves, so it is often most effective for nerve-related pain. During consultation we assess whether it fits, or whether another approach is better.

Does Iovera replace other treatments I am receiving?

It can work alongside other therapies in your plan. We review your full history and suggest what to keep, adjust, or add.
